How it works

Trade profit is the position notional times the relative price move in your favor: PnL = notional × (exit − entry) ÷ entry (reversed for a short). ROI is return on notional, ROE is return on the posted margin (notional ÷ leverage), which is why leverage scales both profit and loss by the same factor.

Example: long, entry 100, exit 110, notional 1000, 10× leverage. Move +10%, PnL +100, ROI +10%, margin 100, ROE +100%.
